Dean Butler was born in Canada, raised in California, and grew up to play Almanzo Wilder on the iconic Little House on the Prairie television series. "My association with Little House has been one of the great gifts of my life. Because of the timeless appeal of the Little House books and the series, I am always remembered as the man who married Laura Ingalls. I will never tire of Little House and Laura’s world."

In 2008 Dean produced ALMANZO WILDER: Life Before Laura about her second novel, Farmer Boy. In 2010 he co-produced and directed LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE: The Legacy of Laura Ingalls Wilder.
